“Whitney” movie review

The “Whitney” movie premiered today on lifetime. The movie displayed the love story of Whitney & Bobby Brown. The movie was directed by the Queen of Biopic, Academy award [best actress] nominee, Angela Bassett. After the poor reviews of Aaliyah’s “The princess of R&B” biopic, the world patiently waiting on this day to come. I can honestly say that I’m not disappointed, but the movie was boring. The movie still left a lot.of questions unanswered. Was Whitney having a lesbian affair? Did Whitney introduce Bobby to drugs? I guess we will never know. The casting of the movie was good. All the actors did a good job, but I was more interested in the success of Whitney career versus her love story. In the words of Clive Davis, “She held every record in our business”. I pray that her musical career will be displayed on the big screen. I also think it’s important for families to include themselves in projects like this to make sure that correct story is being told. May the Voice, the Queen, Ms. Whitney Houston rest in heavenly peace.
