TLC Reached $150,000 Goal For Final Album Kickstarter Campaign

TLC fans, rejoice! You’ve helped the group reach their goal to fund their final album!

Just a few days ago on Jan 19, the group posted a Kickstarter campaign with the objective to raise $150,000 in 30 days. Only three days later, at the time of this writing, they’ve surpassed their goal and raised $173,540 thanks to 1,585 supporters!

The initial $150,000 will go towards a writing session in the studio with a producer and engineer. So where will the extra funds go? “The money beyond that will go to booking music producers, writing sessions, mixing sessions, recording sessions, and SO much more,” they write on their KS page .

Since this has been successful, will it only be a matter of time before other artists start to do this?
